Young Arts
Our society obtains a grant from the Arts Society every year to help with
tuition of students at the Saturday Club at the Hub in Sleaford.
This is part of a national scheme of Saturday Clubs catering for young people locally
who may be disadvantaged in some way. Through art and craft they are helped to
gain confidence.
Currently they are attempting, Cyanotype printing, lino cutting and free-machine
embroidery using the Bass Maltings as their design inspiration. Their work will be
exhibited at the Hub on June 22nd as part of the River Light Festival.
In September, the students will travel to an exhibition at Somerset House
Web site designed, created and maintained by Janet Groome,
Handshake Computer Training.
